Martha’s Meadow is a certificated site within the Camping and Caravanning Club. It is located in the peaceful village of Foy, which is within the Wye Valley AONB, on a no through road and is just 5 miles from the historic market town of Ross-on-Wye. Nestled in a peninsula of the River Wye, the site boasts beautiful views of the traditional Herefordshire countryside.
The towns of Monmouth, Ledbury and Cheltenham, as well as the cities of Hereford and Gloucester and are all within 30 miles or less. The Royal Forest of Dean is also just a short distance away and is a fantastic leisure destination, suitable for all the family. If it’s cycling that interests you, the Forest of Dean has plenty of off-road tracks to offer. The site’s close proximity to the Wye also means that it is ideal for those interested in canoeing. Canoe hire is available in the local area and there are plenty of launches throughout the Wye Valley if you would like to bring your own boat! For those interested in walking and hiking, Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains are just over an hour away and the Brecon Beacons National Park is about 2 hours away. Turn off the A49 at Bridstow Primary School and the bus stop. The site is approximately 3 miles along this road. Follow signs for Backney/Foy until you reach a no-through road sign at a T junction. Turn right here. Upon entering the village, you will see farm buildings on the left and then, further along the road, a post box set in a stone wall. Continue for less than 100 metres and you will see the entrance to the site on your right. There is a 24ft gateway, however you are welcome to reverse into the farmyard entrance opposite and access by crossing the lane if you prefer.
